THESE THINGS I KNOW...
(updated 4-22-2007)

The Measuring Stick
After the Spring game yesterday, several things became very clear. There's no need to write volumes analyzing the Bison. This is going to be short and to the point. This is one good team.

1. If Steve Walker isn't the best quarterback in the FCS, if there are one or even two that are better, they must be incredible. He is by far the best leader I've ever seen.

2. The runningback situation may go from being thin to an embarassment of riches. Nick Brower made a big statement about who will carry the ball in the fall. Tyler Roehl was impressive. Pete Blincoe didn't get into the open field so we didn't get to see what he's got. Then throw in the transfer and two recruits and it will just get better.

3. Mays, Maresh, and Humber could start as a unit for a great many FBS teams. They are an incredible trio.

4. Matt Anderson is going to be a star player for the Bison.

5. This is by far the deepest team at almost every position that NDSU has ever had.

6. We don't need to worry about the defense. Willie Mack's crew is ready to rumble.

7. Wide receivers, we got lots of quality wide receivers.

8. TE Landon Smith is everything Bison coaches hoped he would be.

9. When the corners and safeties line up this fall, they will be very solid. Saturday, you have to remember, they were playing against Steve Walker and the Bison receivers, the best there is.

10. If I were on NDSU's schedule this fall, I would be very nervous.

Go Bison!!
