Game Of The Week....
#4 Cal Poly (5-1) at #9 Montana (4-2)
First, let me say that the votes are in... the Minnesota Vikings officially suck!! Thank God, I still have the Bison. I sincerely hope the Bison coaching staff and players utilized their off week better than those bunch of losers from Winter Park. Not much to say this week, other than that Twin Cities will be a hot bed for DI-AA recruiting this fall and winter. After officiating 10 Metro games this fall, there is not a lot of top DI-A talent, but DI-AA type players are plentiful from Mounds View High School to White Bear Lake High School to Hastings High School. If the Bison don't come out of the Metro area with at least 8-10 signees this February I'll be shocked, because the quality and quantity of good DI-AA talent around the Cities is definitely up from the past several years. *Disclaimer - Because I am a referee and a supporter of the Bison program I can not divulge any names. I don't want to jeopardize anything. You'll just have to trust me. Don't be afraid to catch a Metro area game on Fox Sports North each Friday night!! I've already been on tv twice this fall and I believe I'll be on again in a couple weeks...
Mustangs versus Grizzlies... Grizzlies versus Mustangs... No matter how you say it this Saturday's Bison Insider 'Game of the Week' in Missoula will be a dandy. Cal Poly is clearly superior on offense and defense, while Montana holds a slim special teams advantage. The Grizzlies maintain home field advantage. The Grizzlies are coming of a loss to Eastern Washington, while Cal Poly defeated our Bison a couple of weeks ago. So almost everything points to Cal Poly whipping of Montana.... Right? Not so fast, pilgrim. Over the past ten years, Montana has been unbeatable after a loss. So my opinion is... don't expect a Grizzly loss this weekend, even though Cal Poly probably is the better team at this point in the season. Montana 23, Cal Poly 20

The Truth Is....
UC Davis (5-1) at #17 North Dakota State (4-2)
Happy Homecoming!! For a successful season, this is a game the Bison must win. Other than Cal Poly... Have the Bison exceeded the talent level of the remaining Great West teams? Most likely, but we will find out. Let's take a look at the game... The Bison hold an advantage over UC Davis in each phase of the game. Also, the Bison, as the Grizzlies, are almost unbeatable after a loss. So an easy game, right? Although the Bison hold the blow-out advantage, the Aggies will keep this contest close. The last play may decide the game... North Dakota State 24, UC Davis 17
